- Mr. Tsuneo HASEGAWA, born in 1947, was one of the top Alpine Climbers, who is well-known for the World’s first winter solo ascent of the “Great North Faces of the Alps” (Matterhorn in 1977, Eiger in 1978, Grandes Jorasses in 1979) and World’s first winter solo ascent of the South Face of Aconcagua in 1981. He lost his life by avalanche while he was climbing Ultar Peak in Pakistan on the 10th of October, 1991. Mr. Hasegawa belonged to the Tokyo Mountaineering Federation (TMF). To commemorate his work, TMF began to hold Japan Mountain Endurance Race or “HASETSUNE CUP” in 1993 after his death. HASETSUNE CUP is now regarded as one of prestigious trail running races in Japan.

1. Registration and Payment
1.1 Registration Deadline: Registration may close early if the event reaches capacity before the deadline.
1.2 Race Materials: The race guide will be sent via email around the end of September.
1.3 Team Participation:
- Teams consist of three registered members.
- The total time of all three members (all must finish) determines team ranking.
- Each member must apply individually, listing the other two team members during registration.
- Team applications will only be processed once all three members have completed their individual registrations under the same team name.
2. Event Day Rules
2.1 Check-In: Late arrivals at the reception will result in participation rejection.
3. Race Information
3.1 Timing & Results:
- Your race time will be recorded automatically by the runner's chip attached to your shoes.
- Preliminary results will be available on the RUNNET website on race day: Results
3.2 Finisher’s Certificate: All finishers will receive their certificates on the day of the race.
