- Join us for the 42nd Niigata City Marathon, a race that takes you through the heart of Niigata’s most iconic sights! Run across the stunning Bandai Bridge over the Shinano River and along the picturesque 2km stretch of the Niigata central axis. Along the way, enjoy aid stations stocked with local Niigata specialties to fuel your journey. After crossing the finish line, celebrate your accomplishment with a delicious jumbo rice ball or a pack of newly-harvested Koshihikari rice, a true taste of Niigata’s finest!

Race Guidelines
The race guide will be sent via email at the end of September.Please note that the race kit will not be shipped in advance and must be collected at check-in on the day before the event.
Registration Closure
- Entry will close once maximum capacity is reached.
Course Certification
- The marathon course is officially certified by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF).
Participation Requirements
- Minors must have parental consent to participate.
- Participants with disabilities who require assistance may have an escort runner (applicable for both marathon and fun run).
- Wheelchair participants are welcome in the fun run.
Payment & Registration
- The total fee may vary if parking is selected (+1,100 JPY). Verify all details before submission.
- Credit card and Paypal payments are not available in Turkey and Russia.
- Each participant may register for only one race.
Timing & Records
- Official results (for awards and JAAF records) will be based on gross time (from the starting gun).
- A completion certificate (showing both gross and net times) will be available for download post-event.
Baggage Policy
- Only items fitting in the provided luggage bag (70cm x 50cm x 5.5cm) will be accepted.
- Valuables, mobile phones, and fragile items cannot be stored.
