• Join the spirit of autumn at the Sapporo Marathon! Every fall, the streets of Sapporo come alive with the rhythm of thousands of footsteps as over 14,000 runners from across Japan take on the challenge of the Sapporo Marathon—the largest citizen marathon in northern Japan! This beloved autumn tradition winds through the heart of the city on a course certified by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations, offering participants not just a race, but an unforgettable journey through vibrant cityscapes and crisp seasonal air. With the wish to create a comfortable and enjoyable event for everyone involved—including runners, volunteers, staff, and the entire community—the race will feature a hydration system based on participants using their own bottles and cups.

In exchange, baggage storage will be provided free of charge on the day of the event.

    Approximately 20 minutes on foot from Makomanai Station (Subway Namboku Line). A special event shuttle bus will also be available from Makomanai Station on the day (240 JPY for adults, 120 JPY for children).
