

Theme: Thanks and Friendship
The Kobe Marathon is a full marathon with a certified course, centered on the theme of "Thanks and Friendship." It expresses gratitude for the recovery from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake of 1995, connecting people in Japan and around the world. The scenic seaside route and warm, heartfelt support along the course have earned high praise. The 2025 event is recognized as a World Athletics Label Race and is part of the MGC Series 2025–2026 (Men’s G3 / Women’s G3).
