Challenging Hills, Surprising Records: The Power of Support and Pace
The course is known for its challenging ups and downs—especially a steep hill that awaits runners near the end, after passing through peaceful countryside landscapes.
Many participants say it’s not a course for breaking records due to the frequent elevation changes.
Even so, this year again, many runners achieved their personal bests.
What’s the secret?

It might be the energy from the crowd and fellow runners. And it might be the support along the way.
In the previous edition of the race, a legendary Olympic gold medalist appeared at several points along the course to cheer on runners.
"I didn’t walk up the hill thanks to her encouragement," said one participant.
"She gave me a high-five three times—it gave me strength to keep going."
For many, just seeing her up close made the event unforgettable.

Pacers also helped guide runners steadily through the course from start to finish.
By trusting the pacers, using the downhill sections effectively, and staying mentally strong, many found themselves reaching unexpected new records.
This race proves that even a tough course can lead to big achievements—with the right energy, pacing, and support.
