A Legacy Race Marking Its 73rd Running
You can feel the quality of this historic event, which has been held more than 70 times and has matured into a well-managed race.
The free shuttle buses connecting the station and the venue require little waiting time, there are plenty of restrooms on site, and overall logistics and operations run smoothly.
It is a stress-free event where runners can focus entirely on running.

Good Course for Setting a Personal Record
The course runs from the urban area of Hitachinaka City to the countryside of Tokai Village, with a maximum elevation difference of about 20m.
The route is mostly flat with some gentle ups and downs, making it lively yet easy to run. It is highly rated as being "record friendly."

Wonderful Aid Stations and Warm Support
With its long history, the event has become deeply rooted in the local community, and the entire city takes pride in making it a success.
Local residents are warm and welcoming, with many children and elderly people cheering on the runners, while well-stocked private aid stations appear one after another.
Unlike big-city marathons, the distance between runners and spectators is very close, and the power of their cheering is immeasurable.
And after the race, the food booths offer plenty of local delicacies—so you’ll be satisfied both during and after the run!
