Experience the Beautiful "Historic City of Morioka" on a Scenic Course
The race takes place in early October in Morioka, when autumn leaves begin to turn and refreshing autumn breezes blow.
Against the majestic backdrop of Mt. Iwate, this flat course offers a rich variety of local charm: historic sites such as Morioka Castle Ruins Park, the Red Brick Building, and Morioka Hachimangu Shrine, combined with the nostalgic streets of the old castle town, urban areas, and rural landscapes.
You’ll also cross the Nakatsu River, where salmon swim upstream during this season, offering beautiful views of Morioka in autumn. The city has gained global attention, having been selected as one of the "52 Places to Go in 2023" by The New York Times (digital edition).
