The catch copy of the event is “Welcome To The Most Fun And crazy Race”!　Runners will run from the mountains to the sea on an up-and-down course with a maximum height difference of 257 meters. The entire town will welcome the runners with cheers from the residents along the course. This event is so popular that it has been selected as one of the 100 best marathons in Japan

Breakfast service before the race, aid stations with local food, and cold hand towels distributed by the proprietresses of onsen ryokans (Japanese-style inns) are just a few of the services that await the runners. Costumes are welcome, so be sure to make a splash!

Enjoy the taste of kinmedai (sea bream) miso soup!

Izu Inatori is a fishing port town where you can enjoy abundant seafood. After the race, you will be served miso soup with golden-eye snapper, one of Inatori's most famous and premium fish. Golden-eye snapper contains a large amount of anserine, which is effective in relieving fatigue, and will soak into your tired body!

The venue will have a port city atmosphere.

The morning market at the port, which is usually held in the morning, will be turned into the venue of the convention on the day of the event. You can enjoy the taste of Izu at the booth area lined with a variety of popular local stores. Food and sweets from aid stations will also be available for purchase!

Hot springs and traditional craft(Hanging Decorations)

Izu is a famous hot spring resort. Inatori is also lined with many hot spring inns. On the day of the convention, a one-day bathing service is available at nearby lodging facilities (paid ticket required). It is also the birthplace of the traditional Japanese “tsurushi-bina” decoration, and you can enjoy its history and exhibits at some facilities.This is a great short trip to enjoy the port town, hot springs, traditional beauty, and Japanese atmosphere.

Inatori offers diving, golf, tennis, and other sports, as well as a permanent cross-country course. It is also easily accessible, taking only 2 hours and 20 minutes from Tokyo on the “Odoriko-go” train!　It is a spot that can be enjoyed even if you stay for several days.
